On November 24, the Development and Reform Bureau of Lubei District, Tangshan City released the "Public List of 'Four Batches' for the Transformation and Upgrading of Lubei District's Ceramic Industry and High-Quality Development", that is, one group will be withdrawn from the city and relocated, and one group will be renovated and upgraded. , a batch of transformation and development, and a batch of ceramic closures, involving a total of 38 ceramic factories. Among them, 3 ceramic companies have withdrawn from the city and relocated, 7 ceramic companies have been renovated and upgraded, 11 ceramic companies have undergone transformation and development, and 17 ceramic companies have closed down.
One of the birthplaces of modern ceramics industry
Now all ceramic tile production lines have been withdrawn
Although Tangshan's ceramic industry is dominated by sanitary ceramics, daily-use porcelain and craft ceramics, Tangshan once firmly occupied a place in the field of traditional architectural ceramics. In the traditional industrial map of "three mountains, one sea and two rivers", Tangshan is a large-scale building and sanitary ceramics production area as famous as Foshan in Guangdong, Zibo (Boshan) in Shandong, Shanghai and surrounding areas, Jiajiang in Sichuan, and Jinjiang in Fujian.
At the same time, Tangshan Architectural Ceramics Factory, together with Shenyang Ceramics Factory, Jingdezhen Ceramics Factory and Wenzhou Noodle Brick Factory, was once the leader of architectural ceramics in the country. According to records, the history of Tangshan Architectural Ceramics Factory can be traced back to the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, and it once played a decisive role in my country's architectural ceramics industry.
In modern times, in 1917, the Ceramics Department of the West Branch of Tangshan Qixin Cement Company purchased ceramic machinery such as mud mills, mud presses, and porcelain making turntables from Germany. This was the first time that a Chinese ceramic enterprise introduced foreign ceramic machinery. An important breakthrough for China's hand-crafted ceramic production to move towards industrialized production.
In the field of architectural ceramics, Tangshan began to produce building wall and floor tiles in the 1920s. In 1921, Tangshan Qixin Porcelain Factory produced the first interior wall tiles (colored glazed tiles), and in 1927, colored floor tiles were launched. It can be said that Tangshan is one of the birthplaces of China’s modern ceramics industry.
Today, Tangshan ceramics industry has nearly 100,000 direct and indirect production employees. The industrial system covers industrial ceramics, architectural ceramics, daily ceramics, sanitary ceramics, artistic ceramics, special ceramics, etc., decorative paper, ceramic glazes, etc. , refractory materials, ceramic machinery, commerce, exhibitions, logistics and distribution, technical services and other upstream and downstream product comprehensive supporting systems are complete.
However, in recent years, the five major drawbacks of Tangshan's ceramic industry: "small, low, scattered, lacking, and chaotic" have become increasingly prominent. According to 2018 statistics, as the "Northern Porcelain Capital", the total economic volume of Tangshan's ceramic industry is less than 10 billion, and there are only 30 enterprises above designated size. Large in quantity, small in scale. Most belong toSmall and medium-sized enterprises are not strong and have low core competitiveness. The main business income of ceramics is less than one-tenth that of Foshan, one-seventh that of Zibo, one-fifth that of Chaozhou, and one-fourth that of Dehua.
According to statistics from "Ceramic Information", in 2017, there were three ceramic factories in Tangshan City: Jinfengbao Ceramics, Xinjinmei Ceramics, and Huida Ceramics, with a total of 3 production lines producing ceramic tiles (tiles). However, as of now, 3 of the 3 ceramic companies All ceramic tile production lines have stopped production. This also means that the Tangshan ceramic tile production line has been completely withdrawn.
Promoted successively since 2018
Ceramic enterprises moved into the park, closed down and exited
In addition, there were 306 ceramic companies in Tangshan at the end of 2017, and the pressure on environmental protection has been further highlighted. As one of the "2+26" cities that serve as the air pollution transmission channel in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Tangshan has a heavy task of controlling smog. Ceramic manufacturing companies emit a certain amount of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide every day, and some ceramic companies are still in the drinking water category of Level 2 and above. Water source protection areas also pose a threat to drinking water safety.
Since 2018, Tangshan City has vigorously promoted the relocation and closure of the ceramic industry. In September 2018, the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government specially issued the "Implementation Plan for Transformation and Upgrading of Tangshan Ceramic Industry", which clarified the timetable and roadmap for promoting the high-end, intensive, branded and green development of Tangshan's ceramic industry. The relocation plan of ceramic enterprises into the park was explained in detail.
According to the plan issued by the Tangshan Municipal Government at that time, by the end of June 2019, more than 300 ceramic companies in and around the city's core area will all withdraw from the city and relocate to Fengnan Coastal Ceramic Industry Innovation Demonstration Park. The relocated ceramic companies must use electric power , natural gas and other clean energy, and ensure emission standards are met.
In May 2019, Tangshan City’s Lunan District, Lubei District, High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Kaiping District and other governments successively announced the list of ceramic companies to be shut down. A total of 109 ceramic companies have been shut down, among which the High-tech Industrial Development Zone There are 21 in Tangshan District, 62 in Kaiping District, 4 in Lunan District, and 22 in Lubei District. These ceramic companies are all located in the core area of Tangshan City.
The "Public List of "Four Batches" for Transformation, Upgrading and High-Quality Development of Ceramic Industry in Lubei District" means that Tangshan City once again promotes the withdrawal and relocation of ceramic enterprises in the core area and surrounding areas, and promotes the high-end and intensification of the ceramic industry. , branding and green development.
